Our aim is to amaze people, every day, at Antwerp ZOO, the world’s best kept 19th century zoo, as well as at the adventurous Planckendael, and the Serpentarium Blankenberge. And now also in the brand new Elisabeth Center Antwerp, a concert hall & convention centre. Closer to the animals, to nature, and to each other.
Antwerp ZOO Society
Bustling with life, the nearly 175 year old Antwerp ZOO surprises hundreds of thousands of visitors in an exotic oasis in the middle of the city, and brings them closer to the animals.
For almost 60 years, Antwerp Zoo Society manages Planckendael, one of the most prominent zoos in Europe with regards to animal conservation. Come and enjoy an exciting day of exploration and adventure surrounded by nature.
Planckendael is divided into five continents, each one of which with its own walking trail. All five loops start and finish at the same central point nearby the entrance and offer five different adventures full of surprising encounters. As you meander through the park, you will often stare the animals right in the eye.
Serpentarium Blankenberge, an amazing reptile zoo.
The Serpentarium offers an impressive journey through a jungle full of spiders, lizards and frogs. You look dangerous and venomous snakes in the eye and meet the exciting residents in an exotic environment.
The large rock formations, the many tropical plants, the beautiful waterfalls and the pleasant temperatures resemble one or other exotic destination where the animals feel at home.
